About the Role
<p>The role is focused on customer service and supporting various daily operations of the pharmacy, such as dispensing prescriptions and managing stock, under close supervision. The typical duration is 12-15 months, and successful completion can lead to progression to the Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship.</p>
- Support the supply and assembly of medicines
- Assisting with stock control
- Labelling and issuing prescriptions
- Handling customers/patients’ inquiries
- Handling request of prescriptions and safe disposal of unwanted medicines
- Handling payments and maintaining confidentiality
Progression to the Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship.
About the Training
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2.
100% remote/online delivery through Sheffield College.
Lessons are delivered on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. (The student is provided a time slot to join the call between 9am - 2pm, which lasts approx. 90-mins).
A support session is then provided on the last Friday of every month. (The student is provided a time slot to join the call between 9am-12noon, which lasts approx. 30-60 mins).

High Green Pharmacy is in High Green village, north of Sheffield. We are a small, independent pharmacy looking for a highly motivated apprentice who is keen to learn, enjoys helping people, and is interested in developing a career in pharmacy.
