About the Role

Brandon Hire Station, part of the VP Plc group of companies are looking to recruit Apprentice Fitters at a number of depot locations around the UK. These vacancies offer fantastic career progression for the right candidates. Under guidance, carry out maintenance, service, repairs and modifications to company assets as directed.

  • Under guidance, carry out maintenance, service, repairs and modifications to company assets as directed
  • Under guidance, assist in keeping the branch/depot backlog of un-serviced equipment
  • Assist with ensuring that spares are requested in order to facilitate the speedy repair of equipment
  • Ensuring that equipment is presented in line with company procedures and specified quality standards
  • Recording repair data by completing all paperwork required, or updating computer managed records
Please ensure you have adequate and sustainable transport to travel to the branch.
  • On successful completion and qualification, a permanent position is guaranteed
  • You will have the opportunity to proceed onto Land-based Service Engineering Technician Level 3 apprenticeship standard

About the Training

You'll receive on-the-job training alongside a college education leading to a nationally recognised “Land-Based Engineer - Service Engineer Level 2” qualification. Successful completion of the apprenticeship scheme also guarantees a permanent position at Vp plc.
