About the Role

Outokumpu Stainless Distribution are looking for a Operations Support Assistant to work within their Service Centre in Sheffield. The purpose of the role is to help effectively assist the running of the operations management team through a broad range of administrative tasks and responsibilities.

Reporting to the Operations Management Team

What will your mission with us encompass:

  • Provide admin support for operations, legal compliance Manager, production planning and engineering team

  • Complete SBO and MIA reporting

  • Reporting of internal rejections, USQ, scrap and defects

  • Owner of NC database

  • Daily Gemba walks

  • Provide (after training) holiday cover

  • Implementation of operational standards by line

  • Communication with Service Centre team workers

  • Development of SC KPI’s – visibility and involvement

  • Development improvement ideas

  • Actively involved in Health and Safety

  • Monthly reporting to finance

Experience working with Microsoft Excel Good communication skills both written & verbal

Further inhouse training and career development opportunities for both the successful and committed candidate.

About the Training

  • Business Administrator Level 3 Apprentice Standard
  • 8-10 college based and online sessions throughout the duration at Pennine 5 Campus
