About the Role
NWT are offering a candidate (Age over 18 due to employment law) a Business Administration Apprenticeship. The successful candidate will be introduced to the fast-paced world of road and rail haulage, dealing with tasks like assisting in the planning and coordination of transport. The successful candidate will also assist in administrative tasks like paperwork compliance.
- Assisting the planning and co-ordinating transport/freight trains
- Liaising with drivers and customers to ensure efficient and cost-effective deliveries
- Liaising with railheads to ensure containers are available for deliveries/collections
- Liaising with in house workshop staff to ensure the fleet is kept compliant, and vehicle breakdowns are kept to a minimum and resolved in a quick and timely manner
- Pre-briefing all drivers to ensure they fully understand their instructions
- De-briefing all drivers and collecting relevant paperwork including PODs
The vacancy is office based.
Candidates who are over the age of 18 will only be considered.
- On successful completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will have the experience to continue their career in transport
