About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has become available at The Bistro at Dunston Hall, Chesterfield. The apprentice will take part in duties such as; assisting senior chefs in preparing, cooking, and presenting food. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop new skills whilst gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

  • Assist senior chefs with food preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Ensure ingredients are properly prepped, washed, and ready for use
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following health and safety standards
  • Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and ensuring ingredients are fresh
  • Follow recipes and assist in creating dishes according to menu standards
  • Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and maintain hygiene standards at all times
  • Learn and develop new skills from senior chefs to grow within the team
  • Assist with daily kitchen operations and tasks as assigned
  • Possibility of full time employment on successful completion of apprenticeship. 

About the Training

  • The Apprentice will work towards achieving the Commis chef Level 2
  • The Apprentice will attend Sheffield College, City Campus 1 day per week
