About the Role

You’ll study for BSc Honours Degree in Digital & Technology Solutions over 3-years at Sheffield Hallam Uni. Through training, workplace projects and day-to-day work, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge to get the future you want! We will also provide significant technical and soft skills training to ensure both personal and technical growth.

We are looking for tech passionate individuals who want to start their career as an apprentice in the IT industry. You will be joining a business area working for our largest UK public sector client working with inspiring experts from which you can learn from and enjoy the career opportunities this brings. You will be joining a community of Graduates and Apprentices across the business. On joining, you will be assigned to start in one of the following roles.

Insights and Data (I&D)

  • Build secure, scalable data pipelines using modern tools and cloud platforms.
  • Create dashboards, automate testing, and support data governance.
  • Work on cloud migration, real-time streaming, and analytics solutions.

Custom Software Development (CSD)

  • Develop software using popular languages and frameworks.
  • Gain experience with cloud, databases, DevOps, and secure coding.
  • Collaborate on public sector tech projects with agile teams.
     

Systems Applications & Products (SAP)

  • Configure and integrate SAP systems to meet business needs.
  • Support users, test solutions, and maintain documentation.
  • Continuously learn and apply SAP best practices.

  

This role is only available to be based in our office in Worthing. As such you will need to be based within a commutable distance to the Worthing office where you should expect to typically be in our Worthing office 3 days a week. This specific role is not available to be based in any other UK office, but other opportunities on our website have more flexibility on locations. To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements. Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality. Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.

About the Training

  • Working towards a Level 6 Digital and technology solutions professional apprenticeship standard, potentially including Functional Skills training if required.
  • Have a 10-week on campus bootcamp during fresher’s week for that real university experience
  • Graduate with a degree and a graduation ceremony
  • Be allocated study leave for coursework and exams
  • Level up your digital skills to succeed throughout your degree and future career
  • Have the opportunity to join the student union or societies at the university
