About the Role

Osborne House are looking to recruit x1 new Early Years Apprentices to join our friendly nursery at Hillsborough S6. Full time, Full training will be given on the job. Progression opportunity onto level 3 on successful completion of level 2.

  • To help provide a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment in which the individual needs of all children are taken into account.
  • To encourage all children to maintain and develop their own individuality and independence within the nursery.
  • To engage in care & education with children between 3 months to five years, under the supervision & guidance of fully qualified & experienced staff members, with the aim being to gain knowledge & skills to reach qualification.
Must be reliable and happy to start work early. Natural ability and confidence around young children.
  • Progression onto Early Years Educator level 3 apprenticeship

About the Training

  • Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
  • 20% off the job training will be provided by the employer. approx 6 hrs per week will be provided each week as part of your contracted paid hours where you will be given allocated time to complete apprenticship studies including job shadowing, assignments, support meetings, revision, mock exams, reviews and other training organised by both the employer and training provider. Training will take place on site. 
  • English and Maths Functional Skills - if you do not already hold GCSE or equivelent exemptions

About the Employer

Osborne House Community Nursery is a registered charity run by a Board of Trustees. This Board have an investment in the nursery as they all have children who attend/ have attended. We are open 51 weeks of the year, between the hours of 8am to 6pm. We close on Bank Holidays & the period between Christmas & New Year. We are committed to continually evaluating and improving our practice, the whole staff team, parents/carers and where possible the children in this process. We have a comprehensive selection of policies and procedures that are reviewed and up dated annually or when required following evaluating practice/new legislation/training.
