About the Role
Kiveton & Wales Nursery are offering a fantastic opportunity to become a Nursery Practitioner learning skills and gaining experience in a busy, vibrant Early Years setting. We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident individual who is keen to learn to join the team completing their Level 2 Early Years Practitioner.
- To support nursery practitioners and work as part of the nursery team
- To provide high quality childcare and education
- To assist in the planning and implementation of activities for the children in the area you are working in
- To work alongside staff ensuring a safe environment for all children, staff and visitors to the setting
- To be flexible and help where needed
- To work to the policies and procedures of the setting, support the safeguarding procedures & maintain confidentiality at all times
- Ensure a safe happy environment for children
- Contribute to children’s all-round development as per the EYFS
- To support colleagues within the nursery
- To assist with the daily routine of the setting
A full DBS check is required prior to enrolling onto the apprenticeship.
You must be able to travel to and from work and college. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
- Level 3 Early Years Educator could be available for the relevant candidate
About the Training
Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:
- Training will be carried out by the employer and approved training provider
- The successful candidate will work toward the Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce and have a mix of monthly face-to-face at work, weekly classes and remote tutor visit to support you through your learning journey
About the Employer
Both full and sessional day care is available for children aged 0 to 5 years, we open Monday to Friday 7.45am- 5.45pm closing all bank holidays and for two weeks over Christmas.
